I have such a vehicle, paid 400 extra for red anodised aluminium paddles as Hamstress wanted them. But then I only used them once and like you couldn’t figure out how to turn them off! Hamstress never used them! Total waste of dosh. The answer though is that to get back into D you just hold the + paddle for 1 second, simple! Gears on mine are so brilliant that I never go manual, just no need.
