You can feel good about paying for these poor people..

Even though they hate you.

The ‘ludicrous’ migrant family rule pushing councils to breaking point
Relatives coming to Britain can claim benefits immediately and do not need to speak English

The council housing officer could hardly contain her frustration at the number of refugee families for whom she was having to find accommodation – at taxpayers’ expense.

“It is just ludicrous,” she said. At least twice a month she said she had to find homes for refugee families granted visas to come to the UK and be reunited with migrants granted asylum.

Some of the migrants had originally crossed the Channel in small boats to enter Britain, others had come on work, study or visitor visas then switched to claim asylum, she said.

However, once granted refugee protection, they can immediately seek to reunite their families. Unlike other European countries where newly granted refugees have to wait up to three years before being able to bring over their families, there is no time limit in the UK.
