One of the things that's going on
But cannot be talked about - as everyone else would do it
Is that people like Tesco have split all their more basic jobs into two part jobs and those two staff are now claiming universal credit on the basis that they are doing 16 hours a week
Lowering the threshold for employers' NI is I think intended to begin to make this less attractive
Not that Rachel would have understood this, but I think it's what the Treasury are up to
