How much industrial energy does it require to create a 100 year+ hand basin? I think quite a bit. But here in lala land you'd never know unless it's via bullShit lip service. Went to the tip today and got really lucky. This basin was on the top of a skip of bricks and tile. At the furthest point from the 'guards', and also a large white van pulled up while I was unloading my rubble into the bin, allowing me to pull this off the top of the pile. Covered in cement. Cleaned up with fairy liquid, a metal spatula and a worn scratch pad. Mixed water runs from the enamelled central 'faucet' channel. Beautiful design and workmanship. Slung on the top of a skip.
